Hi!
I'm Karissa! I am a policy research associate and freelance journalist deeply passionate about
in-depth local reporting that holds government officials accountable and informs community members about their surroundings. I've gained experience putting these values to work at National Journal, WCVB-TV Boston, Voice of America, and more great organizations.

Throughout my career, I've been guided by a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story, The Ice Palace: “I’m not sure what I’ll do, but— well, I want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow. I want to live where things happen on a big scale.”

To me, "a big scale" can mean a lot of things. Most importantly, it means living somewhere and doing something that makes a positive impact on the world. I make my impact through the stories I tell. How do you make yours? Reach out and let me know!
